After obtaining his law degree at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, Martin Bühler (lic. iur., financial planning expert with federal diploma) started his international insurance career as an employee benefit consultant at Generali Switzerland. In 2000 he joined the international division of Swiss Life, a leading provider of international employee benefits. As a specialist in this field, he has advised multinational companies in Benelux, France and Switzerland. He later accepted the challenging position of sales manager for Cigna International, one of the world’s largest expatriate insurance companies. In this function he contributed substantially to the establishment of Cigna’s branch office in Switzerland. He was also responsible for Cigna’s market development as well as all its sales activities in France. Since 2007 he has worked as an independent employee benefit consultant and insurance broker, initially under the umbrella of Swiss Insurance Partners and subsequently running his own company, expatpartners, since 2008.

During this period he received his Federal Diploma as a Certified Financial Planning Expert. As a lecturer in seminars, he also proved his considerable expertise in the complex field of Swiss social security law and regulation. He is also the author of various articles concerning his field of practice.

Mr. Bühler is fluent in German, English and French.
